Zachary E. Gipson
Zach is a freelance scenic designer in the Chicagoland and the NWI Region and the current Assistant Director of Theatre at Culver Academies where he designs sets and lights, and choreographs. He is a Chicago Non-Equity Jeff nominated scenic designer with multiple NIETF awards and nominations as a choreographer, projection designer, scenic designer, actor, director and producer. Zach received the Actor of the Year Award in 2014 for his portrayal of Fredrick Frankenstein in the Beverly Theatre Guild's Production of The New Mel Brooks Musical YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN! His most recent success was producing and designing the musical ALWAYS... PATSY CLINE at the Memorial Opera House, which starred Mary Kay Steele as Patsy and Michele Gustin as Louise. Before working at Culver Academies he spent a year at Purdue Northwest as a guest artist directing, designing, and choreographing their theatrical season. Zachary plans to continue to grow ETC as the Artistic Director/Executive Producer and is thrilled to be back in “The Region” Producing theatre in his old stomping grounds.
